Duration: 3 Months (June until August)

Work Setup: Hybrid - Office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Salary: INR 30,000 per month

Internship Mission Statement:

Deliver an exceptional internship experience with access to technical skills development, coaching, networking, professional development advice, and insight into the Pearson culture and business.

Internship Ways of working:

Eligibility: Candidate who are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, IT. Candidate who have completed their studies and are termed as freshers are not eligible for an internship role

Internship Duration: June to August 2025 (3 months)

Mode of Work: Interns and their managers are to work on-site (office) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (minimum three days per week) during the program. No leaves are assigned for the duration.

Internship Program overview

Internship Project(s): You will be given a project to work on for the entire summer and do a final presentation during the last week of the internship. Your manager and mentor will help you every step of the way to ensure you learn and develop new skills.

Learning Enhancing Sessions: There will be various, mandatory, learning sessions every week to learn about Pearson, the Technology organization, and various other skills.

In-Person Activities: Throughout the internship, you will have the option to partake in office networking events and other Pearson India events.

Final Project Presentation: You will present a Final Project report-out to leaders in the final week.

Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in ongoing generative AI research projects under the guidance of the research team
  2. Contribute to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge generative AI applications
  3. Conduct literature reviews to stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in generative AI
  4. Summarize and communicate relevant research findings to the team
  5. Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and test novel algorithms related to generative AI
  6. Analyse literature relevant to generative AI, identifying patterns and insights to inform model selection
  7. Work on data preprocessing and augmentation to build model training/fine-tuning pipelines
  8. Maintain detailed documentation of research methodologies, experiment results, and algorithm implementations
  9. Create clear and concise reports for internal and potentially external dissemination
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and other researchers, to integrate generative models into practical applications

Key Qualifications:

  1. Candidate who are currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, IT. Candidate who have completed their studies and are termed as freshers are not eligible for an internship role
  2. Strong background in generative AI research, with a focus on cutting-edge technologies and methodologies
  3. Demonstrated expertise in refining generative models
  4. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI research, such as Python and TensorFlow/PyTorch
  5. Solid understanding of machine learning principles
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Effective communication skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and present research findings clearly
  8. Ability to work independently and drive innovative research projects, showcasing a self-motivated and proactive approach
  9. Academic background with a focus on machine learning, deep learning, or a related field
  10. Familiarity with the latest trends and advancements in generative AI to ensure relevance and innovation in research projects
